Admiral’s Row, 1864-2016 was a site specific video installation reflecting on the history and demolition of Admiral’s Row, a collection of 10 historic homes at the Brooklyn Navy Yard which dated back to 1864. In 2016, these century-old houses and the forest surrounding them were destroyed to make way for a parking lot and a grocery store. This video installation was projected on to these new retail buildings during the store’s grand opening, inviting visitors and neighbors to contemplate what was lost with the demolition of Admiral’s Row.
