The City And The SeaA feature length documentary film The City And The Sea is a feature-length documentary about the future of New York City as it faces the challenges of sea level rise. The film tracks the construction of all of the large-scale coastal climate resilience projects currently underway in New York City, and contemplates what the city will look like over the next 100 years, as it faces up to 14 feet of sea level rise. The City And The Sea began filming in 2021, and is currently in production. It is supported, in part, by the Rutgers University Documentary Film Lab, as part of the Megalopolitan Coastal Transformation Hub (MACH) project, which is funded by the National Science Foundation. As part of this project, Nathan Kensinger is a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Filmmaking at Rutgers University. |
