The Abandoned & Industrial Edges of New York City is a series of over 100 photo essays documenting hidden aspects of New York City’s landscape, from half-demolished neighborhoods and abandoned industrial complexes to boat graveyards, landfills and Superfund sites. Published online beginning in 2007, these photo essays have been featured by numerous print publications, including the New York Times, New York Magazine, The New York Post, New York Daily News, and The Village Voice.

To view a collection of these photo essays, visit this archive, or view a geographical list of photo essays for each borough: The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island.
